1 Subject of the privacy policy
This privacy policy applies to the collection, processing and use (hereinafter collectively referred to as “use”) of your personal data when you visit our website. 3. informational use of our website
If you use our website purely for information purposes, i.e. if you do not send us any information of your own accord, we only collect the data that your Internet browser automatically transmits to us. These are
- Date and time of access to our website

- Website from which the request originates

The data is used to technically enable the use of the web pages you have accessed, to further improve our offer and our website, for reasons of IT security and to collect statistical data. Otherwise, the data is used as described below:
4. contacting us
When you contact Döllken by email or via the contact form on our website, your email address, title, name, subject and content of your message and any other information you provide voluntarily will be stored by us in order to process your request. The data transmitted by you will not be merged with other data.
5. sample order
If you order product samples via our website, we store your e-mail and postal address, title, first name, surname, company, customer number, telephone number, order number and details of the products ordered, as well as any other information you provide voluntarily for statistical analysis.
With the sample order, you also declare your consent to telephone enquiries regarding the products ordered and to being contacted for advertising purposes. We also use the data specified in the above paragraph in this context.
As part of the sample order, you also register for our newsletter. Further information, including on how to unsubscribe from the newsletter, can be found in section 7 of the privacy policy.
6. cookies
Furthermore, cookies are stored on your computer when you use our website. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your hard disk assigned to the browser you are using and through which certain information flows to the body that sets the cookie (i.e. either us or, if applicable, a third-party provider).
This website uses transient cookies (temporary use) and third-party cookies (from third-party providers).
Transient cookies are automatically deleted when you close the browser. These include session cookies in particular. These store a so-called session ID, with which various requests from your browser can be assigned to the joint session. This allows your computer to be recognized when you return to the website. We use this type of cookie to ensure the operation and functionality of our website. The session cookies are deleted when you log out or close the browser.
Third-party cookies are cookies that are set and collected by a third party. This website uses third-party cookies as part of the Google Analytics analysis tool described below.
Among other things, we use cookies to make the website more user-friendly and effective overall and to be able to identify you for subsequent visits. Furthermore, the Google Analytics analysis tool described below also uses cookies.
If you do not agree to the use of cookies, you can delete the cookies in the security settings of your browser at any time or configure your browser so that it does not accept cookies. You can also refuse to accept third-party cookies there. However, as a precaution, we would like to point out that you may then not be able to use all the functions of our website.
7 Newsletter
We use the so-called double opt-in procedure to subscribe to our newsletters. This means that after you have entered your e-mail address, we will send you a confirmation e-mail to the e-mail address you have provided, in which we ask you to confirm that you wish to receive the newsletter. Confirmation is provided by clicking on an activation link contained in the confirmation e-mail. Once we have received your confirmation, we will send you our newsletter by e-mail. We will store your e-mail address until you unsubscribe from the newsletter. The sole purpose of storing the data is to be able to send you the newsletter.
The mandatory information for sending the newsletter is your e-mail address, title, first name and surname, company and language. The data you provide will not be passed on to third parties.
We would like to point out that we evaluate your user behavior when sending the newsletter. For this evaluation, the emails sent contain so-called web beacons (also known as tracking pixels). These are one-pixel image files that, with the involvement of third-party providers, enable us to evaluate your user behavior and determine which of the e-mail messages we send were opened and when, which links were clicked on and what reaction this entailed. For this purpose, the respective web beacons are assigned to your e-mail address and linked to a unique ID. Links received in the newsletter also contain this individual ID. We use the data obtained in this way to create a user profile and draw conclusions about your personal interests in order to provide you with a newsletter tailored to your interests. We may link the data collected with other data you have provided.
You can informally object to tracking at any time by sending an e-mail to info(a)doellken-profiles.com. As a rule, you can also prevent such tracking by deactivating the display of images by default in the e-mail program used on your computer. In this case, however, the newsletter will not be displayed in full and you may not be able to use all the functions. As soon as you manually display the images contained in the newsletter, the above-mentioned tracking takes place again.
The consent you gave when registering for the newsletter has the following wording:
“I would like to receive the Döllken newsletter and agree that Döllken may regularly send me interesting offers and information by e-mail for advertising purposes to the e-mail address I have provided. My e-mail address will not be passed on to other companies.
I also consent to my reading behavior being evaluated as part of the newsletter mailing. This is done using so-called web beacons in the email sent, which automatically transmit information about when the newsletter is read and which links in it are clicked on. The data obtained in this way is used to create a user profile for me in order to tailor the newsletter to my individual interests. The data collected is linked to other data about me and combined to create a user profile.
I can revoke my consent to the sending of the newsletter and the usage analysis at any time with effect for the future by clicking on the “Unsubscribe” link at the end of the newsletter or by sending a corresponding e-mail to info(a)doellken-profiles.com. Newsletter dispatch and usage analysis are carried out in accordance with the privacy policy.”
When you register for the newsletter, your e-mail address and the other data you provide will be stored by us for the purpose of advertising until you unsubscribe from the newsletter. You can revoke your consent to receive the newsletter at any time. You can declare your revocation by clicking on the link provided in every newsletter e-mail or by sending an e-mail to info(a)doellken-profiles.com.
8 Google Analytics
It is important to us to design our website as optimally as possible and thus make it attractive for our visitors. To do this, it is necessary to know which parts of it are received by our visitors and how. For this purpose, we use Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”). Google Analytics uses cookies, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about the use of our website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.
Our website uses Google Analytics with the extension “_anonymizeIp()” to ensure an anonymized collection of your IP address (so-called IP masking) and thus to exclude a direct personal reference. For this purpose, your IP address is truncated by Google within the European Union or the European Economic Area before it is analyzed. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and only shortened there.
Google uses the information obtained in this way on our behalf to evaluate your use of our website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide us, as the website operator, with other services relating to website activity and internet usage. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.

9. right to information and revocation
You have the right to request information from us at any time and free of charge about the data we have stored about you, its origin, the recipient or categories of recipients to whom this data has been passed on, and the purpose of the storage.
If you have given your consent to the use of data, you can revoke this at any time with effect for the future.
Requests for information and the revocation of your consent to the use of your data can be sent informally by e-mail to info(a)doellken-profiles.com or to the address stated under point 2. We respect the privacy of every person who visits our website. The protection of your personal data is important to us.
