Blue Angel for Döllken solidcore skirting boards

The Döllken solidcore skirting boards have been awarded the Blue Angel, the best-known eco-label of the Federal Government.

A customer's confidence in a quality of a product, whether it is private customers, builders, architects or general contractors, is of great importance, especially in the present time. Seals of quality and awards serve the customer for orientation and distinguish high-quality from conventional products.

The Blue Angel has been the federal government's eco-label for more than 40 years. Independently and credibly, it sets demanding standards for environmentally friendly products and services. The Blue Angel is thus an important point of reference for many customers when it comes to sustainable purchasing. Only a few construction products receive the coveted signet, whose independent jury consists of representatives of environmental and consumer associations, trade unions, industry, trade, crafts, municipalities, science, media, churches, youth and federal states.

The RAL GmbH as a sign-issuing agency currently awards almost the entire range of Döllken solidcore skirting boards with the coveted Blue Angel. The jury considers the following advantages of the product range to be particularly valuable for the environment and health: the products that have been indispensable for many publishers for several decades are low in emissions and harmful substances and therefore do not pose health problems in the residential environment. In addition, the wood used has been proven to come from sustainable forestry.

The jury writes: "The solidcore skirting boards of Döllken Profiles are unique. High-quality cores made of FSC-certified softwood fibres are coated with high-performance polymers, making the solidcore base strips very robust. All solidcore skirting boards can be punched and professionally processed with system tools. The result: a perfect bottom finish that still brings joy after years."

Safe and widely certified

But not only the systemically processable core skirting boards of the company were awarded, also the soft skirting boards received the coveted award with the laurel wreath, which has been awarded since 1978. At Döllken Profiles, responsibility for the environment and health is not a lip service, but part of the company's sustainability philosophy. The careful use of resources is a top priority at Döllken. Thus, all production residues that are produced during the production of skirting boards and profiles (plastics and printing inks) are collected in a pure variety, as well as processed as far as possible and recycled internally. Furthermore, all Döllken products meet the strictest requirements for the emission reduction of pollutants into the indoor air and can be safely used in sensitive environments, such as kindergartens.

According to the Federal Environment Agency, products and services that are awarded the Blue Angel are more environmentally friendly than comparable, conventional products and services. For each product group, there are specific criteria that must meet the products and services marked with the Blue Angel. Depending on the product group, this can be, for example, the prohibition of hazardous chemicals or low energy consumption. In order to reflect the technical development, the Federal Environment Agency reviews the criteria every three to four years. The Blue Angel is currently available for 120 different product groups.
