Not absolutely necessary – you may also mitre cut the skirtings. Punching, however, will save you a lot of time and the corners will look much better.

Stress whitening is a material characteristic. With an adjusted Döllken mitre tool and a sharp knife, stress whitening on the outside corner will be minimal. These lighter shades may be reduced by heating through rubbing with a wooden or metal edge.

After punching the outside corner, place the skirting on the floor and carefully slide into position.

The fastener spacing must take into account the condition of the wall (unevenness, indentations etc.); permanent attachment to the wall must be guaranteed. The S 60 flex life, TS 60 life, C 60 life and D 60 life Top may ideally be nailed at 60 cm max. pitch.

The ideal max. fastening pitch for the S 100 life, TS 100 life, C 100 life and the S 40/22, S 66/22 and the EP 60/13 flex life is 25 cm.
The fastener distance to corners and butt joints should not exceed 5 cm.

Place the profile into the punch upside down, so that the top will face downwards like when punching the outside corner.

Punch only the core - not the top. Install the profile around the corner. Then, for inside corners, cut the floor side lip, for outside corners cut the wall side lip. See also EP installation video.

The cable recess at the bottom of the TS 60 life Top / TS 100 life will accommodate thin cables, e.g. telephone.

Up to 3 mm thickness and 51 mm width.

The cover strips may be cut up to 4 mm and 5 mm wide for the C60 and C100 respectively. The cover strips may be up to 51 mm and 90 mm wide for the C60 and C100 respectively. For this purpose we recommend the Döllken strip cutter as an aid.

There are no end caps for the EP60/13 and Cubu flex life profiles. End caps are easy to make with the skirting board punch. Simply punch an outside corner and glue with hot melt adhesive.

It is advisable for carpet backs with little adhesion surface or special textures (felt, Velcro, fleece or woven back) or where carpet backs have PVC softeners or separating agents to also paint the carpet back with a suitable adhesive or to glue a suitable dry adhesive strip to the body of the carpet skirting before fitting the carpet strip and fastening it along its entire length. Always also take note of instructions by the manufacturers of the flooring and the adhesive. It is also possible to use the TS60 solidcore skirting in white and not use the factory fitted dry adhesive strip.
